The Institute has commenced the implementation of a project titled “Advanced Design and Production of Hybrid Filter Choke Cores for High-Speed Motors Operating at Higher Frequencies Using Numerical Analysis and Innovative Process Improvement Technologies,” as a sub-contractor of Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals. The project is co-funded under the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) Program (SMART Path, FENG.01.01-IP.01-002/23 call).
The project aims to research and develop a new product through advanced computer simulations: hybrid multi-gap cores with magnetic spacers designed for application in sinusoidal filter chokes for drive systems operating at increased frequencies and power levels ranging from several to tens of kilowatts, to be tested under real-world conditions.
As part of a subcontract for the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, the ITAI PAS team, led by Michał Gorawski, will develop a concept and algorithms for regulating the heat treatment process of cores in industrial equipment, as well as a model of an IT system for monitoring the core heat treatment process and a decision-support model for determining the cores heat treatment process flow.
